Recommended and other profile sections

When working on your profile, the sidebar navigation of profile sections divides them into two categories:

• Recommended Sections: Based on the type of applicant you are (such as First Year, Transfer, and so on), and based on which colleges you're interested in, these are the sections that are likely to be required on your college applications.  You'll probably need to complete these sections before beginning any college applications.
  
  
• Other Sections: These are unlikely to be required on your college applications. You can work on these sections and/or complete them, but you probably don't have to.

When you add or remove colleges on your College List, that may change which Profile Sections are considered recommended or optional.
