Using recommendations and documents for multiple applications

 

Counselors need to submit your documents only once. They can be used for multiple applications.


When you ask a counselor, teacher, or anyone else for a recommendation or official document, that person only needs to complete the request and submit it to you one time. That item is then stored in your locker and can be sent to multiple colleges when you add it to an application.

Note that a college must request a document (either as a requirement or an option) in order for you to add it. For example, if you have three recommendations in your locker and a college only allows a maximum of two, you'll need to choose which two to add (and can't attach all three).
